One of the largest conspiracy theories out there is 9/11 Truth. It is important to remember that 9/11 Truth is not a single statement. It is a wide range of viewpoints, possibilities, accusations, and theories. The mainstream media often tries to reduce this down to a single statement, such as "9/11 Was an Inside Job." However, that is not a very clear representation of the entire 9/11 Truth movement. Mainstream news outlets such as Fox News and CNN attempt to compile all aspects of the 9/11 Truth movement into the category of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney planning 9/11 and orchestrating the events themselves. In reality, this is a gross exaggeration of what the 9/11 Truth movement is all about.
There are those who propose that the government had prior knowledge as to what was going to happen on 9/11 and did not act either out of incompetence or opportunism. Then, there are those who say that the government intentionally told other agencies such as the FBI to ignore certain individuals and not to conduct proper investigations. The point is 9/11 Truth is a wide range of theories. It refers to many different theories, as opposed to a single statement.
Part 1: The Structural Engineers.
There are countless places on the internet that make the bold claim that on September 11th, 2001, the Twin Towers could not have fallen after being hit by two airplanes, not to mention building 7 falling, which had not been hit by a plane at all.

To get to the blunt criticism, entering into this portion of 9/11 Truth is impractical. If you examine any of the structural engineering theories that say that the WTC buildings could not have fallen as reported you are amassed in contradictory evidence that must be interpreted by professionals.
As someone once said, "This isn't rocket science. It's applied physics and structural engineering."
Moreover, to illustrate the founder of Architects and Structural Engineers, Richard Gage, appeared in a one hour segment on C-Span television. It was generous for C-Span to give 9/11 fair coverage and hear all points of view; however, a key point was highlighted. A man called into the show, challenging Gage, and said something to the effect of "Where did you get your architecture degree from? I've been an architect for 30 years, and everything you're saying is completely wrong."
That is the summary of the majority of arguments related to the structural engineering of the WTC. For every expert who claims that it was impossible, you can find one who disagrees. Unless you are an engineer, architect, or physicist, it is going to be difficult to verify their statements, and their wording often gets diluted for the mass audiences.
This is a deadlocked debate that does not appear to produce any practical outcomes.
It is also important to note that Thermite was not found at any of the WTC sites. What many in the Truth movement try to argue is that they found the signature of a Thermite reaction. Which expert do you believe?
Part 2: The Political Theorists
Not all of the 9/11 Truth movement centers on whether or not the towers could fall according to the official version, or whether or not the Pentagon could sustain the type of damage it did without leaving a trace on the grass lawn in front of it.
In direct terms, it is more practical to explore the political connections associated with 9/11. Perhaps one day we will uncover a set of documents or communications that reveal condemning information about what took place in 2001. Or even by studying how the politics around the situation was managed could leave vital clues.
The theorists and author Christopher Bollyn, who runs his website http://www.bollyn.com/, has written extensively on the subject, and has proposed the theory that 9/11 was orchestrated by the Israeli Mossad and the Zionist terror network. This is not to support or reject his work, one should read his writings and evaluate them for oneself...yet a proposition like this has a much higher likelihood of being solved. It will be much more practical to try and uncover any connections between the Mossad or the Israeli government and a major world event. In the most important sense for individuals doing independent research, one does not require a Ph.D in Political Science to interpret the data associated with this type of work.
If there is any truth that 9/11 was orchestrated by the U.S. Government or any foreign power, evidence should exist. Communications. Correspondences. Orders. This is the type of theory that has the chance to be proven true, and if someone were to uncover hard evidence of a government involved with the 9/11 plot, they would indeed find the smoking gun or in the more literal sense...proof.

What all sides are in agreement on is that the Bush administration used 9/11 to its advantage. No matter who was behind the attacks and how the towers fell, the Bush administration profited greatly from the largest mass murder in American history. 9/11 might not have a concrete connection to Iraq, but the Bush administration did not wait to launch their war and fuel the military-industrial complex.
Whether or not Bush and Cheney were behind 9/11 is in constant debate, but what no one is debating is how the government failed to protect its citizens in September 2001. It was shameful for Jeb Bush to make the statement in 2016 that George W. Bush kept us safe, when under his administration the worst terror attack in American history took place. The Bush administration then saw a soar in approval ratings and began the war in Iraq, making jokes about those must weapons of mass destruction must be somewhere and taking 900 days of vacation (more than two years of his presidency).
Whether someone is Republican or Democrat, Liberal or Conservative, the American people need to demand more than what the Bush administration did for 8 years. 9/11, Lies to Start a War, the Great Recession. The Government failed the American people and then used their own failures for political opportunism time and time again. No matter who is in the White House, the safety and security of the American people is of the highest importance.
