Keep Military Involvement Out of Niger: An Open Letter to the House of Representatives

Attention: House of Representatives

First, I will thank you and your staff for your time reading my words.
Next, I am writing concerning the U.S. and the Nation of Niger. I am an Academic specializing in the contemporary history of Niger in West Africa. I believe the CIA and the American Special Forces are planning for the destabilization of the country.

It is my first suspicion that the death of 4 Americans in Niger was not as the news coverage states, but part of a larger effort to create instability in the West African region. Niger is economically poor and has the lowest standard of living in the world, the same way that Yemen was economically poor and had the lowest standard of living in Western Asia and has now been thrown into chaos.

Now CGTN has reported the increase of drone flights in Niger and the Pentagon is going to expand its reach further into West Africa. These actions cannot lead to the destabilizing of another nation for the sake of profit and geo-politics.

The CIA and the American Government have had a long history of destabilizing developing world nations for the military industrial complex as well as for geo-political reasons. The CIA Operations in Angola were foiled when an academic, learned of the mischievous actions of the CIA in Southwestern Africa. That individual contacted his government representatives, just as I am contacting you now.

The increase in drone techonology is a horrible warning sign of destruction that could potentially make a weak nation into a post-apocalyptic nightmare. The CIA and the government have a horrible history in wreaking havoc upon the African continent. Examples include the installation of the brutal dictator Habre in Chad during the Reagan administration, the death of Patrice Lumumba in the Congo, the Gitmo-style base in Mogadishu, and the already cited Angola operation.

This is not about politics. This about saving human lives.

We need to do everything in our power to keep the United States Military, The CIA The Pentagon, and any other agency or drone technology from attacking the nation of Niger, bringing destruction upon the developing world, and destabilizing another nation.

How many have to die this time?
